Danny Dyer’s Heartfelt Message to Jarrod Bowen Amid West Ham’s Tumultuous Season

West Ham’s struggles have been well-documented, with the club recently sacking manager Graham Potter and appointing Nuno Espirito Santo. Amidst the turmoil, actor Danny Dyer has voiced his support for West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen, who is also his son-in-law.

Dyer’s love for West Ham is no secret, and he acknowledged the difficult time it has been for fans. Potter’s departure after just nine months highlighted the club’s dismal start to the season. However, Dyer expressed his admiration for Bowen’s resilience and dedication.

On the “Live and Let Dyers” podcast with his daughter Dani, Dyer shared a tender message for Bowen, who was napping after scoring the equalizing goal against Everton in Espirito Santo’s first game in charge. “It’s been a bad, bad time, and obviously, you know it’s been difficult for everyone involved,” Dyer said. “But your man, my son-in-law, has come to the front again.” He jokingly added that he wanted to tuck Bowen in and ensure he rested well, as he had “really earned it.”

Bowen himself remains confident that West Ham is on the right track under their new manager. After the draw with Everton, he emphasized the team’s character and determination to change their fortunes. He praised the team’s performance after having Espirito Santo for only two days, highlighting their willingness to work hard and listen to the new manager.

Espirito Santo echoed Bowen’s sentiments, emphasizing the need to build on the performance against Everton. He aims to keep things simple and give the team a clear identity. While acknowledging that there is still work to be done, he believes the team is heading in the right direction.
