Fulham Now Value Key Star at £40m Amid Man Utd Interest

Chelsea 'Seriously Interested' in signing Antonee Robinson

Despite a fantastic season at Craven Cottage in the Premier League under Marco Silva, Antonee Robinson’s future at Fulham is still up in the air. However, GIVEMESPORT sources have now revealed that the USA star will require a bid of approximately £40 million to entice away from the River Thames due to Ian Maatsen’s impending £37.5 million move to Aston Villa.

Robinson shone for Fulham after their 2022 promotion to the Premier League, but with his gut-busting, reliable performances that caused havoc for numerous opponents last season, he established himself as an indispensable member of Silva’s team. Although he has been linked to leaving over the past year, Fulham may now demand a higher price for his departure.

Maatsen’s transfer to Villa officially began on Wednesday night when word spread that Unai Emery’s team had accepted a bid from Chelsea for the Dutchman’s services.

Maatsen nearly signed a £31.5 million deal to join Burnley last summer, but he decided to stay and fight for a spot at Chelsea. After his first-team chances became uncertain, Dortmund hosted Maatsen on loan last season following his sparse first-team appearances at Stamford Bridge, and they too decided not to move despite having the chance to activate a £35 million release clause.

Antonee Robinson: Heart issue solved by cutting out coffee

While Robinson has been linked to a move away, there hasn’t been much information released about his future as of yet. It’s believed that clubs are keeping him on their shortlist with the intention of moving him away.

According to GIVEMESPORT sources, Fulham will look to Maatsen’s move from west London to the west Midlands as a model for any team looking to sign Robinson this summer. The US international was named in many fans’ and pundits’ Premier League Team of the Season following a successful season for the Cottagers the previous year.

This season, Robinson has drawn interest from Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea in England. United is dealing with injuries on the left side of their defense, Liverpool is searching for a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson, and Chelsea is constantly adding players to their roster. It seems strange that he would move to Chelsea given that fellow left-back Maatsen is leaving the team, but it’s believed that the reason for the move is to avoid PSR problems.
