BYU Football Staff Visits Committed Recruits

The BYU Cougars coaching staff is actively engaged in solidifying their 2026 recruiting class, making in-home visits with committed recruits. Two standout commits, wide receiver Legend Glasker and cornerback Justice Brathwaite, recently received visits from BYU coaches.

Legend Glasker: A Local Talent

Wide receivers coach Fesi Sitake visited Glasker in Lehi, Utah. Glasker chose BYU over several other schools, including Cal, Washington State, Colorado State, Hawaii, Utah State, San Jose State, and UNLV. He bypassed official visits to BYU, Washington State, and Cal to commit early, demonstrating strong loyalty to the Cougars. Glasker, a cousin of BYU linebacker Isaiah Glasker, attends Lehi High School, making him a local talent. His junior season was impressive, despite playing only seven games, he amassed 781 receiving yards, ranking fourth in the state of Utah with an average of 111.6 yards per game.

Justice Brathwaite: Following in Father’s Footsteps

Meanwhile, in Arizona, a trio of BYU coaches—defensive coordinator Jay Hill, cornerbacks coach Jernaro Gilford, and defensive ends coach Kelly Poppinga—visited Justice Brathwaite. Brathwaite, the first commit to the 2026 class, is the son of former BYU running back Reynaldo Brathwaite (2002-2003). This three-star cornerback chose BYU over Arizona State, Iowa State, Kansas, San Diego State, UNLV, and UTEP. His commitment signifies a continuation of the Brathwaite family legacy at BYU.

These visits underscore BYU’s commitment to building strong relationships with their recruits and ensuring a successful 2026 recruiting class. The coaching staff’s proactive approach highlights their dedication to securing top talent and maintaining momentum on the recruiting trail. The early commitments of Glasker and Brathwaite are significant boosts to the program, promising a bright future for the Cougars. The combination of local talent and legacy recruits strengthens BYU’s position in the competitive landscape of college football recruiting. The staff’s efforts to solidify these commitments through personal visits demonstrate their investment in building a strong foundation for the future of BYU football. The success of this recruiting strategy will be vital to the team’s performance in the coming years.
