Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was done early last season after an injury to his wrist. The team’s brass are doing their best to protect him to prevent that from happening again.

The best way, perhaps, is to put larger and more skillful blockers in front of him.

The Bengals have signed offensive tackle Trent Brown and Orlando Brown in free agency, potentially creating a perfect pairing with their combined 6-8 and 715-pound weight.

Per ESPN, the last time an offensive line duo was that large was in 2009 when Minnesota Vikings offensive linemen Phil Loadholt and Bryant McKinnie were on the same field at the same time.

Cincinnati signed Trent to a one-year deal on Tuesday, and Brown cited the team’s culture as one of the things that drew him there.

“That was a huge thing right there,” Brown explained. “Just being where we came from, where people would get out of there for a release any chance we had. … I’ll be able to just enjoy coming to work on a day-to-day basis and that was important as well when we talk about fit.”
