PJ Mustipher to a one-year contract. Mustipher, who was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Denver Broncos in 2023, expressed his admiration for the Eagles’ accomplishments and the talent on their defensive line.

Owings Mills native, Mustipher, a 25-year-old Penn State footballer, has been named a first-team AP Big Ten selection and second-team honoree. He plans to return to Pennsylvania, where he spent five years.

“Seeing what the Eagles have been able to accomplish over the past few years has been nothing short of amazing,” Mustipher said. “There is a lot of talent on this roster and along the defensive line, so there was nothing better for my career moving forward than being a part of this organization.”

 

Mustipher (6-4, 318 pounds) was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Denver Broncos in 2023 before being signed to the New Orleans Saints’ active roster from the Broncos’ practice squad on December 6.

 

In four career games, all with New Orleans, Mustipher registered four tackles while playing 42 defensive snaps.

 

The 25-year-old Owings Mills, Maryland native played five seasons (2018-2022) at Penn State, tallying 145 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, three sacks, and two forced fumbles. Mustipher was a team captain during his final two seasons and was named a first-team AP Big Ten selection in 2021 and second-team honoree in 2022.

“Seeing familiar faces is going to make my transition much easier,” Mustipher said. “Being back in Pennsylvania, where I went to school for five years, is something I am looking forward to.”
