Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld are in “a Serious Relationship”: “They Both Have a Strong Focus on Family” (Exclusive)

The relationship between Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld is still growing.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback and the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse actor are said to be in a “serious relationship,” according to a source close to the couple, who spoke to PEOPLE nearly eight months after the pair was initially spotted together in May of last year.

“After his season finished, they always intended to be together more often. Everything has been going great,” the insider reports. “They both have a strong desire to safeguard and maintain the privacy of their relationship and are highly focused on their families. With all of that, they have been in agreement.”

After Steinfeld and Allen were first spotted out together back in May, a source told PEOPLE that the two had been “hanging out for a few weeks” and were a “cute couple.”

At that point, the insider said, “It’s new, but they are enjoying themselves.” PEOPLE was also informed in June by a source that Steinfeld and Allen were “still dating and getting to know each other.” A few months later, in October, the retailer Leveled Up Buffalo posted a picture on Instagram showing Steinfeld hanging out with Allen’s mother Lavonne in East Aurora, New York.

In August, Allen—who has started for the Bills as their quarterback since 2019—briefly talked about his connection with Steinfeld when he was a guest on the Pardon My Take podcast.

When questioned about the attention the couple’s relationship was receiving, Allen responded, “The fact that anybody cares about that still blows my mind.” In reference to pictures of him and Steinfeld taken in public, he continued, “I just felt this gross feeling – insecurity, no privacy.”
