Tennessee volleyball signed a 2025 class that includes the highest-ranked signee out of high school in more than a decade.

Coach Eve Rackham Watt announced three signees for the 2025 class – outside hitter Maggie Dostic, middle blocker Alaina Jarrett and defensive specialist Alexa Stutzman. Dostic is ranked No. 31 overall in the nation by PrepVolleyball.com, making her the highest-ranked high school signee for the Lady Vols since 2013.

Dostic played at Plant High School in Tampa, Florida, which is known for being a perennial powerhouse. She helped lead the Panthers to four straight 7A title matches and won championships in 2021 and 2023. The 6-foot-1 signee was the 2024 MaxPreps Player of the Year in Florida and was also a MaxPreps second team All-American.

Dostic amassed 1,427 digs, 1,320 kills, 197 aces and 113 blocks in her career at Plant. She played club volleyball at OTVA Tampa, where she helped lead the team to first-place finished in the 17 Open competition of the 2024 Nike MEQ and 2024 Big South Tournaments.

“Maggie is a great addition to our program as one of the most complete outside hitters in the class,” Rackham Watt said in a school release. “She has been the go-to attacker for her high school and club teams, as well as a primary passer. She has good range and vision, which make her highly effective in the front row. What I really like is Maggie is used to winning and understands what it takes. Her game will continue to improve at the next level, and we are excited about her development here.”

The 6-foot Jarrett is listed as a middle blocker but can play multiple positions. She was the 2024 South Carolina AA Player of the Year after logging 239 kills, 203 digs, 78 aces, 52 blocks and 39 assists. The Charleston, South Carolina, native recorded 636 kills, 308 digs, 178 blocks and 114 aces in her career at Academic Magnet High School.

Rackham Watt said the staff love Jarrett’s versatility as an attacker. They see her playing a variety of roles.

The best part of her game may be her aggressiveness and understanding of blocking. That is what first stood out to our staff,” Rackham Watt said. “She is a high-motor player who brings a ton of energy to the floor. I know people will love playing with her and believe she will help us right away.”

Stutzman is a two-time All-New York State Team honoree from Buffalo, New York. She recorded more than 1,300 career kills at Williamsville East High School.

Stutzman was also an All-Western New York First Team selection three times and a three-time All-ECIC First Team recipient.

“Alexa is a steady player who is a great athlete,” Rackham Watt said. “She is quick, reads the game well and is committed to being whatever the team needs. I like her platform control and believe her serve will help us score points. She will add depth to the libero position and has potential to really improve in our program.”
