Defensive Tackle Deone Walker Commits to Tennessee Vols Over Alabama and Auburn
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — In a major recruiting win for the Tennessee Volunteers, highly sought-after defensive tackle Deone Walker has officially committed to join the Vols for the 2024 season. The 6-foot-6, 340-pound star from Kentucky made his decision public on Monday, choosing Tennessee over heavy competition from Southeastern Conference (SEC) rivals Alabama and Auburn.
Walker, a dominant presence on the defensive line, had been one of the most highly recruited prospects in the country. His commitment to Tennessee is seen as a huge boost for Head Coach Josh Heupel and the Vols, who have been building momentum under his leadership.
