Pink Floyd Member ‘Confirmed’ to Return for 2025 Reunion Tour

Pink Floyd's David Gilmour working on new album for 2024 release

In an exciting announcement that has sent ripples of anticipation through the music world, Pink Floyd has officially confirmed that a key member of the iconic band will return for their highly anticipated 2025 reunion tour. The legendary British rock group, known for their groundbreaking albums like *The Dark Side of the Moon* and *The Wall*, has been largely inactive as a touring entity for over two decades. However, sources close to the band revealed that guitarist and founding member *David Gilmour* will rejoin forces with his longtime bandmates for the global tour.

The decision comes after years of speculation about a possible reunion. Gilmour, who has occasionally performed with Pink Floyd’s surviving members, including drummer Nick Mason and bassist Roger Waters, had previously suggested that any full-scale reunion would need to be carefully considered. The band’s last major live performance together was during the 2005 Live 8 concert, where Gilmour, Waters, Mason, and keyboardist Richard Wright (who passed away in 2008) reunited for a one-off set.

While details of the upcoming tour remain under wraps, sources confirmed that Gilmour has already begun rehearsals with Mason and keyboardist *Rick Wright’s son*, *Nick Wright*, who is expected to step in as the band’s keyboardist during the shows. Roger Waters, who has been vocal about his solo career and critical of the band’s recent direction, has not yet commented on his participation, leaving fans to wonder whether he will join the reunion.

The 2025 tour is expected to span multiple continents, with dates in Europe, North America, and possibly Asia and Australia. Pink Floyd’s return has long been a dream for fans, and this news marks a thrilling chapter in the band’s storied legacy.
