CONFIRMED: Jordan Lotomba Joins Celtic — “Why I Chose The Hoops Over Other Offers”

GLASGOW, SCOTLAND –  ✍️🇨🇭 Celtic Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Jordan Lotomba until the end of this season, subject to international clearance. The 27-year-old right-back — equally comfortable on the left and capable of playing across the entire defensive line — brings a wealth of experience from his time at Feyenoord, Nice, and Young Boys, where he lifted three Swiss Super League titles. But despite interest from clubs across Europe, Lotomba chose Celtic — and he has revealed exactly why.

“I had several offers from good clubs, but Celtic was the only one I wanted,” Lotomba explained shortly after signing. “There were three big reasons. First — the size and history of this club. When you walk into Celtic Park, you feel the passion and the winning culture. It’s one of the biggest clubs in Europe, and I want to be part of that. Second — the style of play. Celtic plays attacking, technical football that suits me perfectly. I like to get forward, to defend well and contribute going forward, and that’s exactly how this team plays. And third — the ambition. This club wants to win everything — the league, the cups, and in Europe. That matches my ambition 100%. I came here to win.”

Lotomba becomes Celtic’s latest defensive addition, arriving as a direct, quality option at full-back — capable of stepping in immediately and performing at the highest level. His manager welcomed the capture: “Jordan is a player we’ve admired for some time. He’s quick, strong, experienced, and adaptable — he can play on either side, which gives us great balance. He knows what it takes to win titles, and that winning mentality is exactly what we want here.”

The Swiss international admitted he could not wait to experience the atmosphere at Paradise: “I’ve seen the fans, the noise, the support — it’s incredible. I can’t wait to run out in green and white, give my all for this jersey, and help this club achieve everything it wants this season. Hail! Hail!”

For the Celtic faithful, the message is clear: a versatile, proven international is here to help the cause — and he chose the Hoops over everyone else. Welcome to Celtic, Jordan! 🍀
